Katie McCauley Weber

Partner

As a partner in Taylor & Weber LLC, I help clients understand the legal landscape of divorce and then work with them to determine options and courses of action to negotiate and resolve the issues in their divorce. I also help clients determine if divorce is the right path for them by discussing frankly the legal and practical consequences of divorce. Following divorce, I help my clients with new estate plans and qualified domestic relations orders.

In addition to practicing law, I am a registered civil and domestic law mediator and a registered arbitrator. As a mediator, I help couples avoid expensive and time-consuming court cases. I focus on facilitating discussion and agreement between spouses who are having difficulty communicating about important issues. As an arbitrator, I decide issues for couples who are seeking to finalize their divorces without going to court.

I am a life-long Atlantan and graduated from the University of Georgia Law School, cum laude, in 1993 (J.D.). I attended New York University School of Law and received my LL.M. in Taxation in 1994. During the past 25 years my practice has included estate planning, corporate taxation, general business law, and qualified domestic relations orders. My career has taken me to Minneapolis, Chicago, and Atlanta (more than once). I live in Atlanta with my husband and two high school aged children.
